While safely parked, inspect the spindle state and current loading interaction. Try one appropriate crate and confirm its supported placement before purchasing a full load.
Ready when: The first crate is in an observed usable position and you can still reach the controls.
The 2015 Hull A Q&A is a design reference, not a guarantee of every box size, modular attachment, automated worker or vehicle fit in the present game. The 3.17 launch established the telescoping spindle.
Follow the contract or trading destination’s current unload process. Check the actual accepted delivery or sale and note any remaining cargo before taking another job.
Ready when: The right recipient accepted the actual material; a cleared grid alone is not the receipt.
If a crate or terminal is rejected, check ownership, commodity, quantity and facility instructions instead of assuming external cargo follows a Hull C orbital-docking procedure. No fixed price or profit is promised.
After the load is handed off and the area is clear, use the present spindle controls and visibly confirm full retraction before storing the ship.
Ready when: The spindle is fully closed before you commit the storage action.
CIG’s 4.10.2 workaround is specific to Hull A: storing partially extended spindles can leave them without interaction on retrieval. This is prevention, not a proven repair for an already stuck ship; record the failed stage rather than inventing a reset.
