STEP 1 OF 16

Choose your branch before entering

Onyx is the Jorrit investigation in Stanton: introductory files, four data retrieval jobs, then Project Hyperion. Storm Breaker is a different chain: Farro on Pyro IV, then Lazarus on Pyro I. A Farro keycard is not an Onyx objective.

This walkthrough combines dated maps and firsthand playthroughs. Research level numbers differ between those accounts. Match the room name, visible landmark and your active contract before following a direction. No single layout, code, payout or loot spawn is promised for every build.

Our suggestion for a first visit: finish the first Onyx contract and leave. Learn the return route before attempting a long expedition. Solo players should favour a replaceable kit; a partner can cover an interaction and help recover from mistakes.

  1. 1

    Read your current objective

    Separate controls: F1

Open mobiGlas, inspect the accepted contract and say its full name to your crew. Identify whether it asks for files, a physical drive, Hyperion research or a Lazarus specimen.

    What you should see

Everyone is following the same destination and objective.

    That did not happen

A marker or terminal from another contract is not evidence that your own objective advanced.

Read your current objective

Separate controls: F1

Open mobiGlas, inspect the accepted contract and say its full name to your crew. Identify whether it asks for files, a physical drive, Hyperion research or a Lazarus specimen.

Expected result: Everyone is following the same destination and objective.

If it did not work: A marker or terminal from another contract is not evidence that your own objective advanced.

Pack the tools, then plan your way home

Radiation accumulates. CIG documents exposure, resistance and recovery, with injury or death at high exposure. Watch the suit readout during the run; an old guide's survival timer is not a safe limit for your current equipment.

SC Nomads crew plan: one person operates puzzles, one watches approaches, and everyone knows who carries the objective. Agree a retreat point, a supply reserve and a return pilot before entering. A larger ship does not solve a missing tool or an unplanned exit.

Check the repair supply

Fit the correct canister and check its RMC content before departure. Repairing consumes that material; carrying an empty canister is not enough.

Expected result: The repair tool has a compatible supply of RMC.

If it did not work: Obtain RMC before committing to a pipe objective. Do not assume a local fabricator will supply every missing item in your build.

Controls you will use throughout the route

These are keyboard and mouse references. Your custom bindings and the prompt on the current object take priority. A terminal animation alone is not proof of completion: check the objective and collect any physical item it produces.

Read the interaction before selecting it

Separate controls: F

Hold F while looking at a panel, lever or item. Move close enough for its interaction to appear. Select the displayed action; tapping F performs the default action when available.

Expected result: Interactable objects highlight and an action prompt appears.

If it did not work: Reposition and check the actual target. A nearby door or loose item may have focus instead of the screen.

Fit a Cambio canister

Separate controls: J

With the tool in hand, press J, choose Customize, select the canister attachment and choose the compatible canister. Exit the customization menu with right mouse.

Expected result: A canister is fitted and its fill meter is visible.

If it did not work: An empty fill meter means there is no repair material. Check the selected attachment as well as the canister.

Repair the damaged pipe

Separate controls: Right mouse

Aim at the damaged section and hold right mouse using the Cambio repair control. The upward material-flow arrow distinguishes repair from scraping. Stop when the damage closes, then retry the associated terminal.

Expected result: The hole closes and the repair supply decreases.

If it did not work: If nothing changes, check range, RMC, battery and tool mode. Confirm this is the pipe beside your objective, not a later puzzle.

Keep the objective accounted for

Separate controls: I

Use inventory to confirm where a collected card or drive is stored. Nominate its carrier and check again before boarding transport or transferring equipment.

Expected result: The carrier can identify the actual objective item.

If it did not work: Do not split up while everyone assumes someone else picked it up.

Onyx 1: land and download Personnel Files

Follow your contract destination. If it has no direct quantum target, plan the final approach from a nearby reachable location. Do not aim at a different Onyx simply because its name looks similar.

Request landing

Keys together: Left Alt + N

Contact the facility's Station Services. The default ATC shortcut is Left Alt + N; the ship Communications display is an alternative. Wait for clearance and an assigned hangar, then use N for landing gear.

Expected result: You have a landing assignment and an open approach, rather than a closed door.

If it did not work: If no service appears, check the destination and communication range. Do not force a closed hangar.

Use the two introductory terminals

For Onyx Personnel Files, follow Engineering signage to the first terminal, then return toward the lobby and follow Research signage to its entrance terminal. Download the requested files in that order.

Expected result: The contract advances from the Engineering download to Research and then completion.

If it did not work: Do not start clearing three pipes. Players report confusing the later Hyperion puzzle with this introductory contract. Recheck the full contract title first.

Field note: The September 2026 Onyx account describes the lobby bed as treatment only. Do not count it as a respawn point without a successful regeneration-setting confirmation in your current build.

Onyx 2 and 3: retrieve the Engineering and Research files

Treat these as separate contracts. Before entering the next wing, verify the next job is accepted and points at this facility.

Engineering Files

Beyond Engineering's one-way descent, pass the pipes into the warehouse. Inspect the objective locker for the recorder. Continue through the vent past the Volt weapon rack toward the exit.

Expected result: The recorder objective advances.

If it did not work: Check the creator map before choosing an exit branch.

Research Files

Follow Research toward Analytics and the objective locker in the security room. After collecting the recorder, locate the marked exit route near the drop shaft.

Expected result: The recorder is collected and an exit route is identified.

If it did not work: Inspect the next landing before descending. Floor labels differ between sources; a guessed blind jump is not a reliable shortcut.

Onyx 4 to 6: Energy, Security and Seismic data

Each retrieval uses its own objective item. These are not three tasks to perform simultaneously. After the download, leave with the item and follow the delivery destination in that contract.

Energy Anomaly Data

Find the marked terminal in the condenser area. Repair the damaged pipe beside that terminal, then download and collect the physical drive.

Expected result: The drive becomes available and the objective changes to delivery.

If it did not work: The three-pipe Hyperion sequence is a different task. If this terminal is unauthorized, verify your accepted contract and its marker before repeating repairs.

Security Data

In Research, use the displayed Vanduul ship as your landmark. Collect the marked blank storage module, insert it into the marked terminal, download, then retrieve it.

Expected result: You have the loaded module for delivery.

If it did not work: Read the mission marker instead of relying on a sixth-versus-seventh-floor label.

Seismic Data

Find the Energy Lab and its zero-gravity area. Retrieve the marked server blade, take it to the indicated computer, insert it, copy the data and remove it.

Expected result: The loaded blade is back with its carrier.

If it did not work: Radiation makes lingering costly. Clear the route and identify the return doorway before entering zero gravity.

Deliver the data item

At the specified station, place the drive or blade on your hangar freight elevator and lower it.

Expected result: The delivery objective completes.

If it did not work: If not, check the destination and item.

Onyx 7: Power Usage Data

This route goes deeper into Engineering. Our suggestion: clear a section before moving the objective carrier through it, and nominate someone to watch the radiation cycle.

1. Collect the control-room blade

Read the active Power Usage Data objective, then collect its control-room blade. Before leaving the room, confirm which player is carrying the blade.

Expected result: The carrier has collected the blade named by this objective.

If it did not work: If the live objective names a different item or route, stop and follow that objective. Do not collect a similar-looking blade as a substitute.

2. Carry it through Engineering to the core

With the blade, follow the described Engineering walkways and transit toward the core. Read the next marker from cover before each crossing.

Expected result: The blade and its carrier have reached the core stage of the route.

If it did not work: If the next marker or safe crossing is unclear, stay in cover and recheck the route. The map is not a current-server safety guarantee.

3. Rewrite the blade at the Gamma-arm terminal

Use the Gamma-arm terminal indicated by the objective to rewrite the blade. Read the terminal and objective feedback before moving on.

Expected result: The displayed feedback supports that the rewrite step has completed.

If it did not work: If the terminal or objective does not show completion, stop here. Merely reaching the terminal does not establish that the blade was rewritten.

4. Retrieve the blade and take the exit

Retrieve the rewritten blade, then follow the exit beneath the ASD sign. Keep it with the carrier for the station-delivery objective.

Expected result: The rewritten blade is back with its carrier and ready for the stated station delivery.

If it did not work: Before leaving, confirm that the blade has been retrieved and reread the live delivery destination. Leaving the facility alone does not complete the hand-in.

Field note: The September 2026 account reports roughly 30-second radiation pulses. Observe the actual cycle and shelter behind solid barriers. Do not start a crossing because a memorized timer says it should be safe.

Hyperion: complete the Engineering prerequisites

Start this section only when Project Hyperion is your active contract. Split the tool work and security watch so the operator can concentrate on the next visible cue.

Vents

Clear calcified coolant, repair the adjacent pipe and operate its lever. Complete all three sets and download. The reported reset is four core pulses.

Expected result: The download becomes available.

Condensers

Tractor three plasma canisters into the condenser towers, then download. Watch for an adult Valakkar.

Expected result: The towers accept the canisters.

Fuel Reactor

Use the supply lever, clear the obstruction, repair the pipe and tractor a fresh cell into the opening between pulses. Loading during a pulse can explode the cell.

Expected result: The reactor allows the download.

If it did not work: Do not attempt the transfer while the pulse is active.

Hyperion: choose a reagent at the Power Core

Reagent and catalyst are separate choices. NOMAN's recorded lab notes name REAGNT-01, REAGNT-02 and REAGNT-03, combined with one research catalyst. If you want a particular recombinant, read the current contract or recipe before making the selection.

Complete the numbered sequence

Operate gantries 1 through 6: completed green, next amber. All blue means restart.

Expected result: The reagent choice becomes available.

Connect the selected reagent

Use the linkage for your chosen reagent number and download its data. Read Arken Mallor's lab notes in the mobiGlas Journal to confirm the choice.

Expected result: The engineering reagent is recorded.

If it did not work: Check the identifier now, before crossing to Research. Reagent 01 is not interchangeable with 02 for a specific recipe.

Hyperion: obtain one catalyst, then enter Site-B

The lab-note branches are CTLST-XTL for biomass, CTLST-PWL for the test chamber, and CTLST-RGL for regeneration analysis. Choose the branch needed for your intended recombinant.

Choose the Research branch

XTL: put five bodies in the biomass processor, operate its lever, then download upstairs. PWL: stabilize the anomaly and play the recording promptly. RGL: reach the rear computer while avoiding the Resident.

Expected result: Your chosen catalyst download completes.

Find Site-B and the lab code

Take the Research exit elevator, then its upper exit's left branch to Site-B. At the locked lab door, check the opposite room's display for the code.

Expected result: The lab route opens.

If it did not work: Use your instance's code, not a screenshot.

Finish the experiment

Watch fixed guns and exposed catwalks. Run the experiment at its terminal and download the results.

Expected result: The final contract objective completes.

Field note: ASD Secure Drives awarded to home inventory are distinct from the physical drives carried for earlier delivery contracts. Check the reward notification and home inventory; do not assume a missing loot box means the reward was lost.

Storm Breaker 1: obtain access at Farro

Start this branch at a Farro Data Center on Pyro IV. Establish a return pickup before leaving the ship. An old video's parking spot is not a guarantee of safety.

Find the Maintenance access route

Check the desk in the exterior red-door shelter for a Maintenance keycard. Use it to enter Maintenance, read the laptop code and open the wall safe for Data Processing access.

Expected result: You have the Data Processing card.

If it did not work: If the key is absent, check the alternative below instead of waiting for a guaranteed respawn.

Alternative: the lab-coat scanner

The recorded alternative uses a living wearer of a lab coat at a level-two scanner, such as Data Analysis. Inside, read the laptop and use its code on the safe.

Expected result: The safe provides Data Processing access.

If it did not work: This is a conditional alternative, not a requirement to complete every access room. Confirm the scanner's live prompt.

Storm Breaker 2: print and collect the specimen card

Before starting, nominate a terminal operator and a defender. Reload and agree a retreat route. Keep the card carrier with the group after collection.

Start the printer in Data Processing

Read this room's laptop code, then enter it at the pillar marked 01. Start processing and defend against the security response.

Expected result: Printing progress appears.

If it did not work: This code is separate from the safe code used earlier.

Resume and collect

At the reported halfway pause, use the terminal's continue action. At completion, collect the blue card beneath the screen.

Expected result: The specimen-access card is physically in your possession.

If it did not work: Follow the visible countdown. Do not leave after progress reaches 100 percent without collecting the card.

Storm Breaker 3: reach Lazarus and check medical access

Travel to the matching Pyro I shuttle hub. CIG introduced these stations outside the storm to provide protected transit toward the research complexes. Take the shuttle rather than assuming your ship can safely cross the storm.

Check the exterior infirmary

Find the red medical buildings near the research shuttle arrival. A September 2026 playthrough reports regeneration beds here. Use the interface and verify the setting.

Expected result: The selected regeneration location is confirmed.

If it did not work: No confirmation means your respawn plan has not changed.

Use the interior lab puzzle if you need a suit

The interior infirmary beds provide treatment. Through the adjacent lab window, read the highlighted periodic-table elements. Combine their two-digit atomic numbers for the door code; try reversed order if needed.

Expected result: The lab opens to the yellow Stirling suit.

If it did not work: Use your instance's elements. Change in shelter and retain your gear.

Storm Breaker 4: release the egg from the Specimen Cache

A Stirling-suit wearer is the documented access condition at the specimen-room scanner. Confirm the carrier has the Farro card before descending. Have the crew ready before triggering the chamber.

Start the specimen extraction

Reach the lower Specimen Cache and insert the Farro card into the chamber control. Defend during lockdown and operate Continue when each pause requests it.

Expected result: After the sequence, lockdown ends and the egg casing unlocks.

If it did not work: A pause is an interaction checkpoint. Check the terminal before assuming the timer or waves are broken.

Carry the egg to the Calling Tower

Heal and regroup before pickup. Escort the carrier outside to the Calling Tower on the shuttle-facing side. Insert the egg into the tower's holder when the crew is ready.

Expected result: The tower triggers the Apex encounter.

If it did not work: The tower takes the egg, not your Farro card. Do not begin while the rest of the crew is still recovering inside.

Storm Breaker 5: fight, collect and extract

Assign a fallback shelter and a loot carrier before the encounter. Leave yourself enough supplies for the return trip, not merely enough to win the fight.

Confirm effective hits

The creator's Storm Breaker reference identifies green body pustules and the inner mouth as targets, with green splatter indicating weak-point hits. Watch for smaller Valakkar as well as the Apex.

Expected result: Your shots produce the indicated impact cue.

If it did not work: Hit zones and damage behaviour may change. If a target produces no effective-hit cue, reassess rather than spending every magazine.

Collect the creature resources

Keys together: Left Alt + Mouse wheel

Tractor the fangs. Mine pearl-bearing growths, adjusting power with Left Alt plus mouse wheel while keeping energy green in the recorded control scheme.

Expected result: Material becomes collectible.

If it did not work: Check your current binding; loot quantity and corpse lifetime are not guaranteed.

Send items back and return with the crew

CIG documents one-way freight elevators from Lazarus to the shuttle stations. Check the elevator destination, send the collected cargo, then use the shuttle for the crew's return and recover the items at the hub.

Expected result: The cargo is confirmed at the receiving station before departure.

If it did not work: This is an item transfer, not passenger transport. If the destination or receipt cannot be confirmed, keep the carrier and cargo together rather than trusting an unseen transfer.

If the route stops working

The final Hyperion door failed to reopen in an October 2026 firsthand report. That establishes a possible fault, not a universal failure rate or a confirmed workaround. This guide does not treat relogging, clipping through doors or losing your equipment as a completion method.

To improve this walkthrough, propose the exact section, game build, facility name, contract title and a screenshot of the objective or landmark. Describe what changed and how you completed it. A source review is not an in-game verification.

  • Correct contract and facility
  • Required item visibly held
  • Return route identified
  • Radiation and medical reserves checked
  • No unconfirmed respawn assumption
  • Reward and delivered cargo verified

A terminal says unauthorized after pipe work.: Compare the complete contract title and marker with the branch above. Initial files, Energy Anomaly and Hyperion have different interactions. Repeating the wrong puzzle cannot unlock the correct objective.

The downloaded data did not complete the job.: Check whether this contract requires a physical drive, insertion at another terminal or station freight delivery. Inspect the carrier inventory and the stated destination.

The door or elevator stays unusable with the correct objective.: Record the build, facility and objective state, then check current Issue Council reports. Plan extraction while supplies remain. No specific recovery is established by the sources used here.

The map tells me a different floor number.: Use room signage and landmarks such as the Vanduul ship, Energy Lab or numbered core gantries. Stop at a safe landing and compare the creator map before dropping farther.
