        Plan a useful session
        YOUR FIRST USEFUL SESSION

Use the Nomad’s rear deck as a deliberate loading workspace.

Complete a modest cargo handoff or a checked vehicle pickup without treating the open deck as a passenger cabin.

SC Nomads planning advice. The linked visual guides contain controls, illustrated steps and dated sources. Hull-specific facts: CIG Fury Q&A, rear-bay example; checked 20 October 2026 , reviewed 2026-10-20.

        1. STEP 1

Stage the rear deck from outside

Land on clear ground, protect yourself for the local atmosphere, and lower the cargo access before bringing a box or vehicle up to it.

Ready when: The loading route is clear and the load does not rely on a person standing beneath it.

          Why it matters

CIG’s Fury Q&A identifies the Nomad rear bay as a possible snub carrier. That example is not a universal rover, snub or current physics guarantee.

          Open the practical guide
        2. STEP 2

Secure the actual load before taking off

Use the fitted tractor’s visible controls or the linked hand-tool lesson as appropriate. Confirm box placement or park the checked vehicle, stop its movement, and walk the exit route.

Ready when: The load remains in its intended position and everyone has returned to a safe flight location.

          Why it matters

A tractor lock is not proof of a secured cargo-grid state. If a vehicle rocks or clips, unload and simplify the trial rather than trusting advertised volume.

          Open the practical guide
        3. STEP 3

Separate mining or snub work from the carrier

At the destination, unload before starting the vehicle’s own lesson; keep a known pickup point and check the return load before the next flight.

Ready when: The vehicle or snub and its operator have a practical recovery route.

          Why it matters

Carrying a miner does not make this ship a mining refinery. A Fury still lacks a quantum drive, and the carrier pilot remains responsible for returning it.

No dated offer included for this hull yet. This does not mean it is unavailable.

Rental rules, resets and source limits

Rentals are temporary access, not ownership. The PU rental timer continues while logged out, and rented component loadouts cannot be customized. Daily rates above do not establish discounts for longer rentals. RSI rental rules (updated 2026-04-28).

In-game purchases are distinct from pledges and may be affected by Alpha resets. RSI in-game purchase guidance.

        PEOPLE AND PREPARATION

What changes when a friend joins?

        When you are alone

The Nomad is a lone-pilot light freighter. Park before operating its fitted tractor or walking out to the rear deck; do not try to fly, load and supervise a vehicle simultaneously.

A fitted component still needs powerOfficial reference · A loadout leaves a system greyed out

Combined demand can exceed the available power pool.

        What helps

Check power allocation and operating mode before assuming the component is broken.

SCU is not a vehicle-fit guaranteePlanning check · Loading a vehicle, large box or mission shipment

        What helps

Check the real opening and cargo grid with your intended load. Keep a clear path between stations, exits and equipment.
