              Plan a useful session
              YOUR FIRST USEFUL SESSION

Run an 890 guest trip with one controlled hangar arrival.

Keep guest access, flight control, hangar traffic and onboard services distinct during a short return trip.

SC Nomads planning advice. The linked visual guides contain controls, illustrated steps and dated sources. Hull-specific facts: CIG Alpha 4.8 hangar services; 890 launch interior reference , reviewed 2026-10-20; source reference, not a gameplay verification.

              1. STEP 1

Walk the guest and working routes

Before departure, show the crew the bridge route, guest meeting point and hangar access. Keep arriving guests out of the flight and engineering handoff until their role is agreed.

Ready when: Guests can regroup without wandering into a moving lift or an active landing operation.

                Why it matters

CIG documents passenger and crew spaces across four decks. A named room is not a staffed hotel service, working leisure mechanic, sleeping capacity or security lock guarantee.

                Open the practical guide
              2. STEP 2

Receive one checked craft with a clear deck

Have the bridge pilot hold a safe receiving position while the deck coordinator clears the actual hangar. The visiting pilot follows current landing feedback and stops if clearance is uncertain.

Ready when: The craft is fully landed, people are clear and both pilots confirm the arrival.

                Why it matters

An included 85X is an entitlement reference, not a largest-fit limit. Do not substitute a bounding-box guess, another carrier procedure or a new docking hotkey for the observed clearance.

                Open the practical guide
              3. STEP 3

Verify service feedback, then return everyone

With the visiting craft landed, inspect the service options actually offered and their result. Account for guests and both ships before the return and storage plan.

Ready when: Any requested service has an observed result and every guest has a return destination.

                Why it matters

Alpha 4.8 documents hangar refueling on the 890 for craft fully able to land. It does not guarantee every size, repair, ammunition type or present service availability. Failed service means arrange another destination.

Rental rules, resets and source limits

              PEOPLE AND PREPARATION

What changes when a friend joins?

              When you are alone

Start with the 890 alone and leave the hangar trial for a second pilot. Leaving the bridge to receive a craft removes your attention from flying and ship traffic.

The current reference gives T3: 50 km, T2: 8,000 km and T1: 750 million km. A failed or out-of-range bed sends you home.

              What helps

Select the bed and check its actual tier, range and status. All three tiers support regeneration; old no-respawn advice may be obsolete.
